Ceramic fiber round braid, also known as ceramic fiber braided rope, is a round cross-section rope-shaped product made from ceramic fiber yarns as the primary raw material, woven by a circular braiding machine through cross-interlacing of multiple yarn strands. Based on the braiding structure, it can be divided into hollow round braid and solid round braid. Some products also have ceramic fiber bulk or high-temperature-resistant core ropes filled inside to enhance cross-sectional density and sealing performance.
Process Characteristics: The product is manufactured using a wet-laid core forming process combined with high-speed multi-axis circular braiding for outer layer wrapping, in a 2×2 or 3×3 braided structure interweaving ceramic fiber yarn (content >85%) with reinforcing filaments (alkali-free glass fiber or 316L stainless steel wire, accounting for 10–15%). The braiding density is controlled at 18–22 stitches per centimeter, forming a dense circular cross-section. The process is compatible with a classification temperature of 1260°C (standard grade).
